Position Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Mobile Android app Developer (Senior Level) to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA. The right candidate will bring an interest in applying his or her talents to national and homeland security problems. The Mobile App Developer will design and develop mobile apps using Swift/Objective-C and Java (Android) to support business requirements/logic.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow life cycle methodologies and develop and test Mobile apps as part of an enterprise cross-platform mobile team.
  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, analysis, research and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Support building and distributing Android mobile apps through a general understanding of CI/CD pipelines for mobile development and deployment.
  • Work with users in an Agile development approach to understand and document requirements in JIRA, then elicit feedback and refine solution through demonstrations.
  • Present solutions at formal and informal design reviews and document the design according to the Government’s system lifecycle methodology.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience related to position duties.
  • Swift UI/ Swift.
  • Some experience with Objective-C.
  • Java (Android) development experience.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of React Native. 
  • Understanding of Flutter framework and the Dart language.
  • Strong initiative: must be able to take a high-level requirement, ask questions/seek clarifications, and get the job done.
  • Good written/oral communication skills and problem-solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels.
  • Experience working in high velocity, fast paced teams and environments.
  • Experience working individually and collaboratively in response to changing mission needs or requirements.

Customer Requirements

  • Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
  • Citizenship - Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Location – Hybrid with on-site (Ashburn, VA) visits 2-3 days per week (on-site requirement could change any time to include more days onsite).
