About This Role

The Junior Interior Designer provides administrative, clerical, and design support to the Interior Design team as required. The Junior Interior Designer will participate in design initiatives under the guidance of the Senior Interior Designer and work directly as needed with buyers to advise them on specific design decisions.

On a Given Day, Your Work Might Include
  • Models and reinforces actions and behaviors consistent with the Company's values, mission, and culture.
  • Performs support activities to ensure design deadlines are met within construction timeline
  • Responsible for maintenance, organization, and updates to design files as requested
  • Visualizes and sketches design plans to meet Interior Designer(s) expectations
  • Updates construction specs, materials & details collections, and other administrative work on a regular basis
  • Partners with the Interior Designer(s) to publish processes and audit collections for discontinued items and materials
  • Proactively researches and stays current on industry changes and latest design trends
  • Accompanies Interior Designer(s) during on-site tours with buyers and/or Project Managers
  • Accompanies Interior Designer(s) to vendor showrooms and design events as deemed necessary
  • Communicates professionally and ensures good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Corresponds directly with customers as needed
  • Ensures buyers are supported and updated regularly during all the steps in design process
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years proven experience in an operational role within a design or construction environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Salesforce preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively (re)prioritize tasks based on competing urgencies or needs
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to self-direct and work effectively independently
  • Detail-oriented with a knack for systems thinking.
  • Technologically savvy and adept at training others in software applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A passion for streamlining processes to support creative excellence.

Hours & Compensation

This is a full-time position paying $25.01/hr - $35.02/hr. The hourly range represents the anticipated low and high end of the hourly range for this position. Individual placement within a salary range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to candidate experience, knowledge, individual, skills, and organizational performance.
