Job Details Responsible for assisting the Parent-Child Counselor (Educator) in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all Parent-Child activities. Job Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Attendance at staff meetings in which information about parent-child interactions, observable assessments/referrals, and activities of the Parent-Child Center is shared with the treatment team. Collaboration with the Parent-Child Counselor (Educator) in the development of curriculum and activities for parents. Providing childcare for children while parents are attending group sessions, as well as during emergency situations. Assist with completing children?s intake forms, immunization records, pediatric appointments, and filing of all children?s medical records. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University. EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED required. 25 credit hours or equivalent in early childhood education, child development, special education, developmental psychology, childcare, or a related field is desired. Associate's degree in one of these fields is preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of one year of experience in group work with young children is preferred. Experience working with parents is desirable.
