The Release Manager (RM) is responsible for scheduling, planning, and controlling the software's development and delivery process. As a RM, you will be responsible for managing the release process to ensure timely delivery and reporting. The RM will be responsible for the Release Management lifecycle that involves the stages such as defining the detailed scope (user stories) of the release, scheduling the release, coordinating between teams, and deployment of releases as per the schedule. The RM will have to release software after completing the testing stage and deployment stage, and work closely with the application development team, testing team, and stakeholder team. They will have to maintain proper coordination between these teams to update project-related artifacts per customer requirements. Overall, the RM will be concerned with planning, testing, tracking, release, deployment, communication, and risk management. Preference will be given to candidates local to the DC Metro area. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 (annualized USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability, and other organizational requirements. Required Skills 6 years of relevant experience as a Release Manager or related experience. Bachelors degree in a related field. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Excellent planning, scheduling, and risk management skills. Proficiency with release management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Jenkins). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD and Automated Testing tools and techniques. Familiarity with Java- and Oracle-based solutions, AWS cloud environments. Experience with Content Management Systems, including Confluence and SharePoint. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master). Experience supporting federal government customers. Active federal government public trust clearance.
