Aureus Medical Group - Nursing is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Wheeling, West Virginia.

13 weeks - 12 hour Day/Night Rotate; 12 hr shifts, day/night rotate - 36GH - BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Verification - First to float. Unit OR (Cost Center 7010 Endo 7012)

# suites 11 OR Suties & Uro suite (2 or are only CVOR) & 5 Endo Suites

# of cases per day Main 35-40 & Endo is between 20-30, CVOR 1 per day

Certs/Tech certified Do you require techs to be certified through NBSTSA? Not required. Primarily use orderllies,

Ratios

EMR Picis OR Manager

Charge Nurse 1.6 FTE Clinical Lead (charge) until 5, then at 3 have a dedicated cahrge. After 11p & on weekends it is the nurse on the shift who is charge.l

OR techs

Weekend Requirement - RN's SS 7-3 & 3p-7a NOT Call - maybe 2 weekend days per month (2 scheduled days or 1 schedule & 1 call)

Weekend Requirement - CST's same & schedule is the same

Call Requirement - RN's Open heart does own call. Has trauma team covers call 24/7 M-F 11p-7a, & backup call for weekend SS also 24 hrs.

Call Requirement - 24 hours either Saturday or Sunday. 1 to 2 days per month

What is call response time? within 20 minutes - prob would nnot have

Holidays call - sign up in the vacation book - if needed

Scrub Color/ Provided

Tele endo 7-3; 8-4 no call M-F bus SS 7a-3p call from home (40 min response time) - they do a lot of adv a lot of ERCP 6-800/year, EUS, resections, any advanced endo not only colons & EGD's...

Vents

Surgeon on call hours staffed in house 24/7 but call is for additional crew. call is from 11p 7am sat - 7 am mon am

IV Team

RT 24/7

Pharmacy 24/7

Shifts 12 circ per shift to run rooms & provide breaks ( curret ave 10-11)

8's 10's & 16's

Floating

Floor specific orientation After the general hospital

Common types of cases Main a lot of ortho total joint replace revision 2 di vince , gen colorectal GYN Neuro ENT, vascular, thoracic, podiatry 1 day/week, MUST have orhto gen , neuro preferred, vasc preferred - robotic gastric sleeves - Rn's help rturnover

Scrubbing required - RN's some scru & hold retracters - Highly preferred bonus if they can scrub

Additional Notes wknds main or will cover endo in the eveninbg

Sterile Processing Info would preferr prevoius travel experience in must have prior acute OR

Certification Through IAHCSMM or CBSPD? This will tell you if the accept CRCST or CSPDT….

Equipment Used 7-3 M-F & an orderly covers 3-11 & S/S

Duties Steris for instrument tech certs

Common patient equipment to disinfect/common supplies to sterilize less than 10 per shift - most of instrumention is through steril processing & a different dept;.

Additional Questions What sterrad system do you use? (examples: Sterrad NX, Sterrad 100S, Sterrad 200, Sterrad 100NX) sterrad autoclave Y steris NX ran by orderlies & instrument techs
